
Dr. Chayuta Deutsch, Editor-In-Chief of Beit Morasha Press and its flagship journal, Akdamot, is an accomplished journalist and novelist. completed her doctorate at the Talmud Department of Bar Ilan University. Deutsch brings a rich media and literary background to the BMJ position. She was a regular publicist for Ynet, the online version of Israel’s largest newspaper, Yediot Ahronot; editor of the children’s magazine Otiyot; editor of the literary and Jewish thought section for Hatzofe newspaper; and deputy editor of the current affairs journal Nekuda. Chayuta is a founder of the feminist Orthodox forum known as Kolech. Her biography of the revered Bible teacher Nehama Leibowitz is a classic and a best-seller.

Dr. David Anaki, co-editor and founder of Akdamot Journal of Jewish Thought at Beir Morasha, is a Beren College graduate who studied at the Mercaz Harav and Knesset Israe-Hevron yeshivas. In addition to his role at Beit Morasha, Dr. Anaki teaches in the Psychology Department at Bar Ilan University. He lives with his wife, Dr. Michal Wosner, and their four children in Jerusalem.
